Summer holidays:: Must keep the boys busy!

My boys helped me to make some Mickey Mouse cupcakes today... Seeing as the rain is back again and we are shut indoors!

I looked at some different ideas on pinterest and came up with a chocolate cupcake with a white chocolate icing ( and a bit of food colouring). 

I made chocolate mickey mouses by melting some chocolate int he microwave and then i used a new  syringe from a calpol box to syringe the chocolate onto some baking paper into the shape of a mickey head! I just did one big blob and then two smaller ones for ears! Put them in the fridge and then decorated the cakes after!

I havent tried one myself but Ethan polished one off very quick!!

Not quite baking... More assembling!

Today with the boys we took all of our bad thoughts out on some oreo biscuits!

Then we made our delicious oreo cheesecake from a mountain of oreos!!

Tonight we all tucked in... Here is a slice!

I have taken the opportunity to dabble in some more cupcake baking whilst the boys are at school today....

This one is a vanilla cupcake with a strawberry and white chocolate frosting... I'm thinking that next time i will ripple some strawberry through the vanilla cupcake too! 

A few happy thoughts

Everything is all coming together now... Im taking a course in start-up online business to help me gain some more knowledge in that side of things.  Then i need to advertise more locally and get the word out in my area, so ill be attending the boys fetes with some of my cakes :)) 

In the mean time...

Lemon meringue pie today!

I had decided on Friday that today was going to be THE day for baking... It was either a cheesecake or a lemon meringue pie, lemon meringue won the vote! 

So here is a pic of it fresh out of the oven :)
